Hello, I'm James Michaelson, a bloke with a metal detector in Brighton. If you've lost a ring, a necklace, cufflinks or any other metal valuable on the beach, in a park or in your garden, hiring a metal detector and searching for it yourself is usually the quickest and cheapest way to get it back.

Hire My Metal Detector

I hire out my metal detector, a Garrett ACE 300i, for £50 a day. It needs to be collected from and returned to BN1 5GJ in Brighton. It comes with fresh batteries and is simple to use, even if you've never held a detector before. I've written a guide to using the Garrett ACE 300i so you can get searching straight away, and the hire is covered by some simple terms and conditions.

The detector is well suited to searching Brighton and Hove's pebble and sand beaches, parks and gardens anywhere across Sussex. Rings lost in the sand near the piers, jewellery dropped in long grass, and items buried shallow in a flower bed are all well within its reach.

I'm afraid I can't currently offer an in-person search service at a price that would be fair to you, so hiring the detector is the service I offer at this time.
